Real environment background or artistic?

Hello to everybody,

In my first post in the forum, i am asking for some opinions regarding the background of an interior or exterior render scene.

In an architectural visualization, do you try to adopt the scene to the environment or you create an artistic background that makes the scene more beautiful and eye-friendly?

For example some entourage trees can improve the render, but by using them we change the real environment.

How do you prefer to work regarding this matter??

Ultimately you are selling the product that is the building. If that means Photoshopping out some bums then so be it. You don't want to outright lie about the context of the scene, if the building is say in a bad part of town, but you want to embellish the truth. Then wrap it all up with the nice tidy bow at the bottom of your image with the line, "Artist conception only".
