natorolagix Posted May 6, 2015 Share Posted May 6, 2015 Please help if you have heard about this before: In SketchUp, I need to work completely with IES lights, a bunch of them. The problem is It takes so much time to adjust them (the IES lights) and then re-adjust them in design process over time. I am very familier with AutoCAD Blocks concept (where you can manipulate the source block and all instances of that block will get the update automatically), and wonder why is that, when I pack the IES light source in a SketchUp component so that i will control whole arrays of the light at once, the light will not render!! It will not render at all. However i can see that it renders with enough light comes out of the lightsource if they were just floating in the scene without being turned nor attached to a component!
