Hi,

 

check this link. I want to know that how to do such animation? Have they manually animated each piece OR there is particular script available or plugins OR any trick.??? Has anyone done like this before..pls. share..!

It's done with particle flow. you slice your geometry up and make it into seperate objects, use a birth script in particle flow to create a particle at the location of each piece of geometry/bind it and then you can animate the particles as a whole and it will drive the geometry.

 

Some hand animation wouldve been used for the more precise/one off movements, but it'd be impossible without pflow.

I think I have found a tutorial or two on the particle to geometry bit.

 

Does anyone know of any slicing maxscripts (that would cap ends)?

Found some on scriptspot but they don't seem to be able to dice objects up too well.
