  1. to resolve this problem turn OFF the User Account Control (UAC) on your administrator user account before installing anything..

Congratulation on your new laptop! sorry for not updating my psot i been very busy for a while and don't have time to play around. well, before you install the vray plugins..first go to your windows administrator user account and go to the "Turn User Account Control On and Off" - be sure to turn it off. i think that will fix all the installation problems. cheerss...
  3. sorry mate, but until now i haven't solve my problem. so i uninstall my vray for a while and wait for newer version soon. cheers...
  4. tnx mate, i tried to edit my plugin.ini but its the same errors i get. i will try to uninstall everything and reinstall again, hope it will fix those errors. i will try also to get some answers to chaosgroup. anyway, thnx everyone for all your supports. cheers! I've solve my problem... i took me a while to figure out and i just remember the response of Spooner04 about the User Acount Control..tnx mate.. Solution: Turn OFF the User Account Control on your Windows User Account.. that will solve all your problems heheh.. cheers.. tnx everyone.

  6. check out at www.3dats.com for Brian Smith books about architectural visualization. It lets you imports your 2d to max and turn it to 3d. Wish you luck all the best. cheers!
  7. I post a screen shot of the errors, this occurs during i fire-up 3dsmax. I try to configure also the plugin.ini as said from the other previous thread but didn't help me. see attach 2 for the old and new plugin.ini setup. thnx for your help guys.

My Vista is 32bit, my 3ds Max Design 2009 is 32bit as well and i'm installing the Vray1.5 SP2 X86 plugins for 3dsMax 2009. and yes! it installed properly when i run as an administrator. but when I fire-up the MAX it gives me tons of error with .dlls and .dlts , i don't know if this version of vray is compatible with Max Design 2009 or its only for Max2009. appreciate your help guys! tnx...
  9. Hi everyone I try to install a Vray Plugins for Max and this what I get an ERROR! Im currently using Windows Vista and 3ds Max Design 2009. I dont know why the Vray Plugins Installer could not write sysmtem folder on my Drive as you can see the attach image. Im current using also the Administrator User. Hoping for a response.   10. Hi Peter, maybe my settings is different from yours. I tried also to create new scene with boxes and applied materials to it, but i still get the result i want. Can you send me over your test scene i'll just wanna check your settings. many thanks
  11. Thanks for your response. I tried the material overide but it doesn't work without lights, it works with lights but there are shades, highlights and shadows. don't understand about the scene shader. what do you mean by that? sorry to tell you that i am not an advance user of 3dmax. thank you for your help.
  12. Hello everyone, i would like to know if there are ways to render the material ID in the scence using mental ray rendering in 3dsmax. As i tried to render in the rendering elements such as the ones attach here and its not the result as i expected. I like to achive like the last image here that was rendered in vray with the different color as per the different materials, and its good for the post production process.   13. actually how to do that zooming thing. i try to draw a spline and when it about to exceed the viewport, i try to use the scroll mouse for zooming only but i cant pan it. thanks
