  1. your render is cute! for the background, if you can distort it to make its verticals match your interior then that would nail it.
  2. It really depends on what you want to achieve. Archi-vizualisation can be deceptive, you can use fake lighting and achieve a good artistic impression. If you want to achieve something that would present close to real in terms of the particular lighting fixtures that will be used in your projects then there'll be nothing close to using photometric lights.
  3. just click customize, preference settings, then under mouse control make sure that the "zoom about mouse point (ortographic and perspective)" is ticked. good luck!!!

    Vray Glow

Assign a standard material and give it a 100 self illumination. To create a slight glow effect, first assign a unique object id number on the object. Create a glow effect and assign the same object id number (takes time to experiment on the intensity and size though). Good luck pre!
  5. Check out the "Dual AMD Opteron" systems (e.g. by HP or Boxx), I think this latest system will kick the butts of Xeons, specially when the 64-bit Windows arrives.
  6. you can use password-enabled codecs.
  7. Opteron is definitely the best choice on performance and value for money! Surprisingly, Intel's next generation chips are following Opteron's format. Until now, no sign of surprise yet from Intel if they have better processors to rival the new Opteron.
