  1. Hi, Just moved to 3.5 and I'm struggling to control the glare and bloom. I read the manual but found no answer to all my questions... Is it still possible to get the bloom and glare mask render element? I have the same parameters as in 3.4 but they are not showing up. Do they still work in vray light materials? I assume they are suppose to work as in real photography but is not working in pure white pixels when they are vray light mats A college of mine realized by trial and error that the bloom and glare are quite different in Bucket and progressive, is it suppose to be like that or just a bug? Do the adaptive lights affect them? Just rendered an image with around 50 similar lights and the glare is just working in a few of them quite randomly (sorry can't post the image but is a confidential project). Any other differences with 3.4?
  2. Hi, I have a stupid question. When I check the bloom effect on, in V-ray 3 lens effects window, after rendering process, there is a message "No channel, please re-render!". I can do it in post-production, but I want to do it in the vray frame buffer. It makes me crazy, because it's the simplest thing I don't know. Please help. Thank you.
  3. After a lot of research, I finally gave up and decided to ask you guys how to do it... I remember seeing something about using Mental Ray's glare shader to add the effect to pre-rendered images. The technique consisted, as far as I can remember, of putting an existing image as BG and adding the glare shader to the renderer. Well, I did that and my result was... nothing. I was able to have objects (models, not those in the BG pic) glowing the way they should, but the effect was not affecting the background, which is my goal. Not many parameters I could change (Glare does not have much to mess with), so I really have no idea what I'm missing here. Any thoughts?
