  1. Hi! I am creating generic fur in v-ray with sketchup and I'd like to remove/hide the bottom plane on which grass grows, not removing the grass. I tried just hiding the plane or setting alpha to the material but it's not the thing. Anyone knows how to do so?
  2. I've got an imported site from Revit that I need to make grassy with Vray Fur. I've isolated the sections I need and collapsed them to edit poly (also tried edit mesh) but when I apply fur, although the fur applies and appears in the viewport, the parameters are not editable and the fur renders standing straight up. I tried with a new spline-edit poly and this worked fine! I don't want to mess around re-drawing out the grassy sections if at all possible. Why can I not edit the vray fur on the imported geometry??? Is there a way round this?
  3. Hello I've been following a few tutorials online on how to create realistic hair in 3ds max and i seem to have run into a problem I can't solve. I followed Joe Alter's online tutorials as well as recommendations from other members to add p_hair shader and every time I render I only seem to get a few spikes pointing out of my model's head. I have tried to increase the number of hair counts but I'm pretty sure that is not my problem. Can someone please help me with this by telling me what I might be doing wrong. I am pretty sure all the steps from Joe were followed as well as steps in installing and using p_hair shader. I'm using the mr prim option also. Further more I've applied a normal map to give my character some more definition in the face but that doesn't seem to work either. Any suggestions in this area? Thank you guys in advance! Bobby
