  1. Hello, Just wanted to get some opinions on my new workstation im planing on building. I only use mental ray with 3ds max so graphics card isn't as important to me as the cpu power. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/7WwVqs Let me know your thoughts.
  2. Hi all, I've this strange problem that i can't solve. I've applied the same material on the frames of the scene but the two lower frames appears glowing and I don't understand the reason. May someone help me? Thanks a lot

I am a freelance artist working from home in Scotland. Please let me know what you think, all and any comments are very welcome. All modelleling has been done in max 2012. I used iRay with the mentalray sun and sky and photographic exposure. In addition to the daylight system I used hidden planes with a self illuminated material to enhance certain areas. Post work in photoshop includes the background and some adjustment of levels. Rendered at 4096 average 6 - 12 hours an image on 2 gtx 480's.

There are some strange shadows on the kitchendoor below the microwave. The door seems to spread to much color and it seems a bit to light to represent oak. Also there is a strange lightspread around the window. Any tips on how to fix this? The materials i try to achieve are: door: untreated oak kitchendoors and kitchentablet: corian white walls and ceiling: painted white with brush floor: silicon based epoxyfloor RAL7022 (dark gray) windows: wooden windows painted RAL7022 Still need to add some props and add some interiorlights.
