  1. I'm looking for a good high quality way to present a walkthrough to clients on the web. Streaming is a bit of a hassle to set up and I haven't found that it works reliably. It also take pretty long to load. WebGl is great for realiability and load times but the quality suffers. I thought a Matterport style 360 walkthrough might be a good alternative. Is there a software or service out there that can generate 360 walkthroughs from an Unreal model? I would like something that can be setup easily, and ideally something that can be easily re-uploaded when the model changes. I was looking at Sketchfab and found examples of 360 panoramas, but I would like to stitch these together so it feels like a true 3D walkthrough. https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/scandinavian-apartment-demo-scene-990ce2d827404c66a975b03ff97a0c03 I remember seeing a couple of companies doing this from 3Dmax and other software . . . will need to search my notes and see if I can dig up a list. Any insights would be appreciated!
  2. I wanted to ask people engaged in furniture making and manufacturing, more specifically kitchen cabinets, what do you think of web app online 3D kitchen constructor? Here's the example of project I've recently made using this online software (see attachments). What do yu think of its rendering possibilities? http://prodboard.eu/kitchen/ You can try to design a kitchen yourself and share your opinions about whether it worths time spending, or maybe you know some other apps of this kind that you like more.
  3. Hello. My name is Stas, and at this time I work in the architectural studio as a visualizer. In my free time I sometimes make models of furniture and other objects. I would like to try to sell my models at turbosquid or other services. In this topic I would like to consult with you and ask you what models for architectural visualization are maximum demand. I do not want to lose time in vain and would therefore like to ask you what in your opinion now sells better, what would you be willing to buy, what models would be helpful for you, and in general how do you think is it really possible to earn some money that way? For example, I planned to model such necessary objects for architectural visualization as hi-end furniture sets made in one style, vegetation models (grass, bushes, trees), sets of books to fill shelves, stones and other objects. You can see examples of my models in my portfolio: https://www.behance.net/gallery/8961429/3d-foliage-models-grass https://www.behance.net/gallery/3568451/Furniture-and-objects P.S. Whether there are other ways of selling models except of royalty free stock sale services?
  4. Hi everyone! First post here but I think this may be of interest to you guys. https://Clara.io, the online 3D modeling and rendering web app, is pleased to announce that we have just officially launched V-Ray rendering and our new 3DStream render embed technology. The full details are in this blog post. Clara.io has come a long way since we first launched in a rough beta back in August 2013. This is a fairly complete V-Ray integration in that we support progressive 3D renders that stream from our cloud servers, we support most V-Ray light (area, sun, hemi, mesh) and material types (v-ray standard, sss, bump, layered BRDFs), we support vismats, vrmats and vrscenes. We support background rendering as well, along with a +1000 preset material library. The other aspect of this release is our 3DStream technology that allows you to embed V-Ray renders into web pages as interactive progressive cloud streams. Here is an example: Porsche Caymen 3DStream You can move the Porsche around with your finger or mouse -- it is a V-Ray progressive render stream. For getting your architectural models into Clara.io, we support importing FBX, Collada, and OBJ/MTL file formats. We do support a number of other formats (another 20 formats), but the FBX/Collada formats are the best if you want to get in your lights, cameras and material settings in. We'd love to get your feedback on where we should go from here. Thanks for your time! -ben houston (ben@clara.io) PS. We are running a $1000 contest for our users with the best V-Ray rendering. --- A lot of examples of what you can do with Clara.io are available here in our library: https://clara.io/library Here is an introductory video on how easy it is to use V-Ray in Clara.io: Some V-Ray results from Clara.io: The +1000 preset material library:
