  2. Hi mates! I have been doing rendering for almost a decade and recently I come up with the idea of preparing video tutorials on Thea4Su (Thea render plugin for Sketchup) and you know there is no carefully set, step-by-step yet informative enough for wide range of users from noob to pro courses or information out there in the market. Also I've tried to go after a photographic approach. I've tried to think loudly while working, so the audience will be familiar with the rendering mindset. It covers: Composition, Camera, Light, Material, engine setup and postproduction tools embedded in Thea render pluginand finally puts all together in several "in-action" projects. I will release it hopefully late January and one/some free lessons also would be available. Here is the render right from the lectures:

  4. Studio/Institution: Marti Genre: Commercial Interior Software: Autodesk Maya, Mental Ray Description: Hey everyone, I am looking for some tips and critics on my interior render. I am trying to create a realistic image for a bathroom furniture brochure. I am struggling with composition and lighting so for this image I used a reference image I found on the web that I really liked and recreated it with my own models. I am already pretty happy with the result but I like to strive for the best quality and I don't think I am there yet. The things I am not really happy with are the floor material and the shower area. I think the shower area is too dark and blue. The floor material I think is not glossy enough. Any tips and crits on how the improve this would be much appreciated.
  5. Hi! Im new here, so sorry if this have been discussed before. Im looking for a simple way to make my materials look more dirty and realistic. I have several materials with opacity which I would like to "stack" on top of for example a concete wall. Only solution I found is angeled blend and it kind of works, but I would love to add more layers. Any good ideas or maybe this is just a beginner question. Anyway would love to get some input. Rhino 5 and Vray 1.5and something.
