  1. Hello! I came across these stunningly detailed digital architectural models, and was wondering how does one go about modeling these structures and details? Scripting? Software? or modeling it the traditional way? Comments and thoughts appreciated! Cheers
  2. Hi, what do you think is a good FILE AND FOLDER STRUCTURE to accomodate all the projects and administrative stuff that a Studio should deal with daily? As an small example, for starters, i believe one should start like this, but please post your own Setup or Root structure, give some opinions, or feel free to use better names for the folders.... Proposed Basic ROOT FOLDERS: - \STUDIO XXX (your company Name) ------- \ADMINISTRATIVE (for the Confidential Files or stuff relative to own business, which employees do not need to deal with) ------- \PORTFOLIO (a folder with your best finished Work, Files for Website, etc) ------- \LIBRARY or "ASSETS" (models, textures) ------- \LEARNING (or a name related to TUTORIALS, COURSES, TIPS, etc) ------- \PROJECTS ------------- \CLIENT ------------------- \PROJECT NAME ------------------------- \WORK FILES ------------------------------- \RENDERINGS ------------------------------- \TEXTURES ------------------------------- \IMPORT/EXPORT (if you have to first work in other Software) ------------------------- \RECEIVED (all material and emails received by client) ------------------------- \SENT (only things that are very particular and you have to send to the client) ------------------------- \OTHERS ------------------------------- \QUOTE and CONTRACTS (Perhaps this one should be in \ADMINISTRATIVE ------------------------------- \SCHEDULE ------------------------------- \EXTERNAL SERVICES ( if you outsource the 3D modelling, etc) ------------------------------- \TIME SHEET (If you want to have a record of your work-hours) Perhaps this is a subject that is not very talked about, but is very important for a good work environment. I hope there will be some feedback and other inputs from forum members.
