Hello everyone,
I have worked with 3ds for many years & now I am begining to learn Revit. In 3ds max I am still in the process of learning cinematic and mood lighting, advanced architectural modeling (exterior & interior, & furniture) & good landscaping.
When I was learning lighting & materials, I had no problem in sitting still watching the tutorials and taking notes then applying them in my ongoing design projects. However, with modeling and landscaping I have to apply them directly as I am watching otherwise it cant be comprehended with notes. That means also I cant apply them in my ongoing project because they have deadlines & I cant watch in the same time of doing my duties. As for mood lighting, there is no work projects involve special effects of lighting as requirement, & so I have a little chance to apply them & a weak motive to learn them other than my love for mood lighting. Along with all of this, I am starting to learn Revit.
My main trouble that I need help with, is how to conceptualize or hypothise projects for me to work in them while watching tutorials.
I dont want to imitate or do the exact same projects done in the tutorials. I want to create projects that I can use them in my portfolio. I tried thinking of some project & I cant think of one that can motivate me enough. I prefer for the hypothetical project to be a one project with a big umbrella where everything in the training categories I mentioned can be applied on.
