  1. Hi Forum, Currently am working on an animation project. The project consists of a moving car and a camera following it. its just an 8sec shot. the issue am facing is when i pre-calculate the irrradiance map, the camera movement is not seen in the renders. the camera stays where it is in the 0-frame and only the car moves thus the final image renders with lots of artifacts and splotches. My render settings are a. For Precalculation of Irradiance Map * time confuguration -2 to 202 * Irradiance map - Medium animation (60,30), Use camera path, Animation Prepass. *Light Cache - 2000, Single Frame (Since Camera Movement is Very Small), Use camera Path. b. For Final Rendering *Time Configuration 0 to 200 *Irradiance Map - Medium animation (60,12),Use camera Path, Animaton Rendering. 3ds max 2016 & V-Ray 3.60.03 Can anyone please help me on this.? ** When i Render the scene with BruteForce Everything renders fine**

I need to load a *.vccglb file to vray frame buffer., i run the following code vfbControl #loadccpreset "E:\Handies\Mak\Mak custum\MAX\BFV_SET\RAKE_713SP16_F1.vccglb" but it says failed to load the same . Error message goes like: [vfbControl] command #loadccpreset: Failed loading file E:\Handies\Mak\Mak custum\MAX\BFV_SET\RAKE_713SP16_F1.vccglb OK what is the issue here., can anybody help me? im using 3dmax/vray 3.6
  8. Hello everyone, here on the site are not long ago. In the sphere of 3ds max are much, in all cmpanii that I activated render was not the final product. Now at the moment I am unemployed and trying to find some clients on the topic of indoor and outdoor 3D visualization. During the time I was employed and now at the moment in my free time I make visualizations so that I do not process and move forward Harder. You can simply give me some advice in finding clients maybe I'm not doing something right and I'm not going in the right direction. Thank you in advance for the advice.   9. For architectural visualization work, which render engine do you prefer? Vray for C4D or C4D Advanced Render? Why? I have been doing all of my rendering with C4D's Advanced Render and have been looking into Vray and thinking about possibly switching over.

  11. I am working up some hobby Revit designs in 3ds Max using the vray library of materials and furniture to produce the renders. Revit has been great to model, but you cant get the same detail as 3ds max polygon modeling with chamfers. I have two starter projects here, which have some basic photoshop post production. trying to use HDRi for the site and avoid building landscape. Open to any thoughts, comments on how these could 'pop' - feel free to crit the architecture design as well My initial thoughts are that the texture maps need dirt/scratches etc
  12. Hi Everyone, I hope this post finds you well. This is the latest property development I was fortunate enough to have been a part of, and wanted to share the final results. The main brief was to help sell the development off the 2d DWG plans/drawings before construction, by creating a series of 3d marketing images that captured the building's true essence and design ( interior and exterior). My work involved picking the materials, furniture, design and 3d render the space in a way it would be appealing to potential buyers. I have used 3ds Max and V-Ray to create the initial still images.   13. I´ve been looking for a Graphics Card for VRay GPU rendering, lately. During my research I stumbled across an interesting Benchmark result on the Chaos website: There are 3080 ti`s with 12287 MB of VRAM and others with 12288 MB, with a performance difference of nearly 10 percent and it has been proven by more than 200 GPUs...!!! Does anyone know how to tell the one´s from the others / how to find out how much VRAM exactly a Graphics Card has?

Current System: CPU: AMD Opteron 6212 (x2) Motherboard: ASUS KGPE-D16 (Pretty BIG) Memory : Kingston 8 GB (Nothing Special simple One) HardDisk: WD 2 TB Graphics Card : Quadro 600 (That's the Problem Maybe) N Other Accessories Problem: I am Not Getting Performance in 3dsmax (V-Ray), 3Dsmax is My Everything (Primary Software) , Im getting too low fps... I Switched In Every Graphics Mode (Dx11, Open GL, Nitrous, etc.), But No Sucssess Now I want to Upgrade this or build a New one System: I Reserched & I am thinking of buying and QUADRO K4000 (3GB)......   16. Hi. I am currently completing arch viz projects on the side for a couple clients and am looking at expanding into higher end production as a second option for specific clients. My current workflow is to model the building in Revit using the .dwg files I am sent from the client and once complete I move into Lumion for the rendering, before I finalize with post production in Photoshop. Both Revit and 3DS Max have VRay, however 3DS max has the additional plug-ins that could advance the imagery beyond what is capable in Revit. As I have been looking at expanding into VRay, I was wondering what experiences others had who have a drafting background and what their workflow is like? Is it worth continuing with Revit (a program I am very familiar with) and testing the VRay plug in? Should I consider taking the time to learn 3DS Max? Alternatively is the Revit to 3DS Max to VRay workflow worth considering? Thanks

  18. Hi folks I am looking for a best solution to add huge traffic(May be 8000 vehicles) in a big masterplan. My primary software is 3ds max 2020(Vray Next), what plugin or any other thing I can use to animate this huge traffic ? and If I want to animated trees in the scene as well. I need to prepare a flythrough camera of 20 second to show the whole masterplan having canal running through and lots of roads across. Please suggest best solution for these 2 things (Animated trees and vehicles) Best regards
  19. Hi all, I've been contacted by a previous employer to do some renders for a project I was working on before I left over a year ago. The project consists of multiple pieces of furniture saved as their own solidworks part files, placed into an interior scene (assembly file). I originally imported the whole assembly into keyshot and made do with my computer chugging along struggling to cope with the tens of furniture items in the scene. I also didn't enjoy using keyshot for interior rendering which resulted in blotchy walls and uneven lighting. I would like to tackle the project this time using 3DS Max and V ray, possibly using V ray proxies to make life a little easier on my computer. Another issue is the models all have textures straight out of solidworks which aren't realistic, so i would like to re-texture each item with vray materials, and finally if i can do all of this, whilst keeping the layout of the furniture consistent to what is found in the original solidworks assembly that would be great. Having not used 3DS Max since I was in college many moons ago, I'm a little anxious but i would hugely appreciate any advice anyone can offer me on how to tackle this task. Literally any workflow tips would be fantastic. Thanks in advance David

  24. Hi Everyone,? This Interior Design 3d render is one of the twelve I have recently created for a client, using 3ds Max, V-Ray 5 and Photoshop. The main brief for this specific shot was to frame it in such a way that the main focus would be in capturing the physical properties of key materials such as the leather, the wood finish and the reflective graphic wall reacting to the custom artificial light fixtures. The next phase of this project is to create more of these spaces in Unreal Engine with an App I'm currently developing, to host interior designs in my AWS server (using pixel streaming), to ultimately provide the client with the full flexibility to navigate the scene, view it from any angle, and instantly take as many high resolution renders as desired, at their own time and leisure, while using devices such a mobile phone, an iPad or a low spec computer from 1994 . If/when allowed, I'll be able to create a quick tutorial depicting the process of creating this specific 3d shot. I really hope you like the above interior design render.
