Marcus TA
Hey Joske, I belive Imst be the dumbest person in this forum cause your drag n drop .....voila didn't quite work for me....my result is a black rendering. I belive Viz 5 support HDRI files...right ? I tried some other stuff /settings but same same black rendering. Is there something I miss somewhere a little X in a box ????? joske
not sure about the viz 5 support for hdri i think not. you'll need viz 2005 for hdri you can resave hdri file in other format with hdrshop to get it working in older max en viz that use skylight but not support hdri. i did it before long time ago in a galaxy far far away... Marcus TA
Hey, I do have the Viz 2005, and when I resave the HDRI via HDRIshop I get a result that is not black but in nice colours. But it's not the way to do it.. ....we did that looooooooooooooooong time ago in a galaxy far far away...... When I drop the HDRI-file into the Skylight slot it is black..I belive I drop it in the slot as a bitmap or ?
joske
in mat editor check 'environ' radio button and mapping to spherical env in output set output amount to 5 6 7 8 ... until you see the pretty colors make sure you instance the bitmap in the skylight slot, or it wil not take the changes you make in the mat editor that should do the trick. Marcus TA
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm It seems to work when I adjust the RGB offset too + the Output Amount offcourse, but am I not supposed to see the HDRI "picture" in the mat slot ? All I see is a grey ball that changes when I adjust RGB offset and Output Amount !!!!
