arvind
Hi guys, I just finished a couple of panos in max for a client. The output I have given is a QTVR. now he wants to know how to autpspin it using premier. Im completely clueless on this. Can anyone suggest how to do this? thanks in advance. arvind. JamesTaylor
i'm a little confused by the question so could be way of the mark with my suggestion!! first of all i've always known premiere as a means for compiling and editing video rarther than for implementing interactive solutions such as panos. Secondly i can't see the benefit of producing a pano that auto spins? it seems to defeat the object of letting you have control over which direction your looking in. so, and i may be wrong, maybe what your client is asking for is you to render out an animation where the camera flys around the building, this could then be compiled in premiere into a movie that "auto spins" around the building. arvind
hi James, I agree , the whole purpose of the vr is defeated, by autospinning. But as far as I know it is going into a presentation made in premier, so the vr will probably stuck in for a few seconds like a part of the video. Actually i found a piece of software qvtr2mov which extracts the qtvr into jpeg frames along a path that i specify. then I took the frames into Adobe Imageready, which is the only software that i have that can convert it back to mov format. Using that I compiled the frames into a mov file which now is a video of the VR. worked quite well, but the qtvr was lost completely. thanks, arvind. JamesTaylor
how long did the process take to extrat the jpegs from the vr? could be quite a handy method of creating simple and quick ani's!! do the jpegs still have the distrotion that occurs when viewing in vr? arvind
Hi James, Sorry for the late reply. Yes the software allows you to open the qtvr, set the fov, start point and end point, and spins it and screen captures the resulting images into individual jpegs. if u have a mac it can store the sqeuence directly into a mov directly from the software itself . but im unlucky as i dont have one here is the link incase ur interested http://www.azurevision.co.uk/qtvr2mov/ Thanks, arvind
