TickerTocker
I've recently started using Vray (1.46, i think) with MAx 7. I've heard that one can create object lights or self-illuminated objects in Vray using the VRayLightMtl? However, I can't find a tutorial on it anywhere... Can somebody explain its usage to me? Or point me to an online tutorial?

Victor Erthal
Tried to use some time ago, but i think the quality isn't that good. If possible, use the vray area lights. Much more control and quality.
TickerTocker
Thank you guys for your replies. I was just messing around with the VRayLightMtl yesterday, and got it working through sheer trial and error. For some reason, after you apply it to an object, and make that object a light emitter, you won't see the light in your renders unless you turn GI on. I have no idea why. Of course, I'm new to this...
