Andrew Schroeder
Hi Eric, Looks like you put a lot of work into the image. Things I notice right away are the people, the foreground leaves (sharp angles), grass, and sky. The faded paint though looks good! The other aspects though, could use some attention. Grass is a tough one, which renderer are you using? There a lot of resources for skies that you can track down through these forums if you do a few searches, and the foreground tree limb... I typically get better results through xfrog because the leaves are opacity mapped. Yours look like geometry here, and that's a dead give away of 3D. As for the people, well, I don't think there is a good solution at present, and I try to stay away from them.
esilvis
Andrew, Thanks for the comments on the barn. The trees are xfrog, might just do away with the closest tree?? For the longer grass, I used hair and fur modifier. I dont mind the people (poser) gives some scale and personal feel. The sky is a gradient applied to a sphere. PS sky image faded into, maybe not the best choice. I live in rural Wisconsin, and used the old barns I see traveling to and from work as a reference for the fading paint. Thanks again for the comments. Eric
