VRML (*.wrl) import texture problems

Hi guys, i have a wrl file of a strip of road that has been exported from ArcScene that im wanting to import into Viz 2005. The model imports perfectly fine into viz however im having some big problems with texture mapping onto the imported model. Maps are all out of scale etc.

 

After a bit of testing I worked out that the closer to 0,0 the model was exported/imported at, the less the problem was. The catch with this is that it cant be imported at its correct coordinates.

 

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience going from arcscene to viz/max at all and how they went about it.
