Thanks for the 3DSMAX FAQ Greg, and the bit about memory. I got that value ram last summer, and found it great for most everyday stuff. Good enough to put into an old system that isn't really doing that much anymore. I.e. 256MB good quality ram > 1GB of valueram, would be fine for doing gaming I think.

 

But for a Photoshop 1 hour session, give me back the quality memory anyday, and I will try and work around the lack of it for now.

Granted the Poweredge stuff and Optiplex stuff is much, much cheaper, but come on Greg - would you pay €1000 for 1GB of Workstation memory, even if it was VERY good?
