Pablo Zurita
I’m working on project that has a 3ds max plug in (check out http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/showthread.php?p=74634 for more info) and we have a question for max users. As you may or may not know, when you use the Render to Texture feature in 3ds max, a Shell material is put on the geometry unless you activate the “render to file only” option, what I would like to know is what’s more common for most max users here, if you use the Render to Texture feature do you allow it to apply the Shell material? I would also like to know if it bothers you in any way to have a Shell material applied to your geometry just to generate lightmaps (or whatever map you are trying to render to texture) or if it’s natural to you. I hope you can help me with these questions. Thanks.
