Hi, It's my pleasure to announce that an upgrade is available for PolyBoost to version 1.5. The new version and the upgrade is available for download at the PolyBoost site and the upgrade is free for exsisting users. Version 1.5 contains some new very useful tools like PolyDraw, a new technique for quickly scetching out surfaces. Check out this video showing the new features:

New features:

PolyDraw:

Tools for quickly scetching out a surface either on the main grid, projected onto the surface of another object or on the selected object itself. These are tools that are activated and stay active until the user right-clicks to step out of the tool and many different actions are possible within the tools depending on wich of the Ctrl,Shift and Alt keys are pressed. Place vertices and fill in the gaps with polygons, paint connections between edges and vertices and much more...Check out the video above for a better understanding.

InsertVerts:

Inserts vertices in the selected edge/edges. Choose the number of vertices to insert in a spinner and the inserted vertices are then evenly spaced along the edge/edges.

CreatePolygon:

Creates a polygon from the selected vertices. The created polygon will always point towards you in the view.

SpinEdges:

Spins the selected edge/edges in the polygon, changing the direction.

Numeric:

In version 1.0 there were a lot of buttons for selecting 3,4 or 5 sided polygons, vertices with a specific number of edges and so on. All those tools have been condensed into this tool "Numeric", wich also gives the user more control over the resulting selection. As a result of the removal of those buttons the main interface has also become slightly smaller.

RandomSelect Dialog:

Now lets you set a percentage of the total amount of elements in the model that should get selected, or a specific number of elements.

UV Lineup:

Lines up vertices in the Unwrap UVW editor to form straight lines vertically or horizontally.

I hope you will find these tools interesting and enjoy using them. Feedback is welcome.
