Sketchrender Posted June 1, 2005 Share Posted June 1, 2005 hi I really need help with this it is rendered with max 7 and vray. it looks completely washed out . Can somebody please tell me what is wronge with the paving and the chrome /stainless steel finish on the lamp posts. i would be very grateful if anybody can give me any advise. lambros Posted June 2, 2005 Share Posted June 2, 2005 ok, you should really post settings and material info, but with a glance, it seems that the sky color is bleeding and thus distorts the floor color. You should either control color bleeding universally in the scene with the saturation parameter in the renderer rollout, or alter manually vray properties of the floor object and/or its vray material The chrome/steel material should be relfective to have the desired look, so that it reflects the environment. If it already is and just reflects the sky, you should consider changing the environment sky color. Either use a gradient map (simpler solution), or try to use an hdri map as environment (it makes beautiful reflections),, perhaps render with an alpha channel and add the sky background with Photoshop Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
