Tree Solutions?

Does anybody have any suggestions for high quality tree solutions? Products they've bought etc.

i'm looking for quality models that look real for use in still images, i'm not too concerned about polysize, as they can always be proxyed, but have never been that keen on RPC and for a change i don't want to add things in post. I've tried bionatics in the past but they always seem a little spindley, better than RPC but not as real as post production as you get closer to them.

thanks

the xFrog models look intersting, its a shame there doesn't seem to be any samples to try first tho.

Strat, are the tree clips just texures applied to a plane with and alpha map? or are they actually modelled geometry?

anyone else got any suggestions?

I just bought the Marlin Trees (Trees and Foliage package) a few days ago...I'm still waiting for them. I was torn between them and got3D. Strat's advice was the tie braker. If they suck, I'm kicking you in the face, Strat.

I'm trying the xfrog trees, there very high poly but i've got dr running on vray so hopefully this will offset the increased render times.

Although i can see mapping a image to a plane with an alpha channel will work it just doesn't feel right to me! how good will the shadows that are cast be? its not the best on RPC's which work on a similar method
