RAYMOND
my regestry is really boched up.... yes i know... did not save a restore point to when it was healthy.... hard lesson to learn I was on a University network for about 2 years and really picked up the junk background programs... the list in my task manager is quite long... have posted this in some other forums but mostly the too obvious answers have Dr Register it lists a lot of problems but will not solve them unless i buy the program which i will do if it will solve everything. nawash
I thibk one of the best methods is, instead of reinstalling all programs , is to use a program to make a dump of a partition. I use it at work and it work like a charm. One of the famoust is called ghost. 1 Install Os and programs 2 dump OS and program partition several months and a huge registry file later....... 3 restore the partition from dump off course your data will be on other partition. actually I am looking for a utility that would help me to know what are the current registry access. I have found a similar program for file access (filemon.exe from sysintenals.com) and I recommend it : it allows you to know EVERY file access on your system). It is ideal to find bugs and see if a malware is running on the system.
