Iain Denby
Downloaded RAW files from my Canon350D onto my computer. Opened up Photoshop CS, opened the Browser, but the RAW file shows up as an urecognised file and it won't open it. I thought the RAW Plugin allowed you to do this directly in CS. What's going on ? Jape
Thats beceause the 350D has a new (canon)raw format wich wasnt available when CS hit the market. Luckily for you you can download an update (of camera RAw plugin for CS) wich lets you open them up. Dowloadable here --> http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html Jape,
Iain Denby
I've tried that, doesn't work. It's for CS2 only.

Another way would be using the DNG converter for CS. That way you can convert youre raws to dng and open the with photoshop. little cumbersome though. http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=39&platform=Windows
tvc15
I have Photoshop CS and a Canon350D. I had to go to the adobe site and download both DNG Camera Raw 2.4 and DNG Camera Raw 3.1 files. Use the file format plugin from 2.4 and the DNG converter from 3.1. It's a hassle but works.
martinp
Try Pixmantec Rawshooter. I know it's great to have the workflow all in one package, but this is a really nice RAW handler...and the "Essentials" version is free. Martin PS I have no ties to Pixmantec
