OllyNicholson
Does anyone else have the annoying problem of ray-traced shadows falling with a gap between where it should start and where it actually does in the render? e.g. a pole interecting into a wall and the shadow projected not starting from the object but a small but significant distance from it, on the surface the shadow lands on? This problem is occuring using the Scanline renderer. Let me know if you have any ideas Olly
Victor Erthal
Set the ray bias with a smaller value and everything will work just fine.
ecastillor
Set the ray bias with a smaller value and everything will work just fine. and it will also take longer to render
OllyNicholson
Is this problem occuring as I'm modeling in real dimensions? - e.g. my wall is 2.5 metres high in max - and I know max has problems with small units. I shall try out the ray bias and see if that works O
