enigma
maybe its the ram that causes the problem. how large is ur RAM? i'm not sure though.
noi-pi
I have the same card like yours. Its really quite stable. Previews were fast. Maybe its only the RAM issue. Or hows your scene setup?
Bugga_Guy
Not sure if this will work but In Customize/Preference/Rendeirng try increasing your Memory Pool (kB) under bitmap pager.
Jonny English
I have the same car and run Max 7. Everything is ok here. The only thing I have is sometimes a poor quality viewport display when I view in perspective, anyone know why? is it just a case of updating the drivers? Bugga_Guy
It is because you need to boost up your resolution in max's settings. Goto Perferences, Viewports then click on Configure Driver, And choose the highest # in Background/download Texture size (click match bitmap as close as possible)
Jonny English
The problem is with my model in the viewport not a bitmap. Take a look at the partial screen image and you can see what I mean. Any ideas how I can solve this? (the only thing I can think of is to update the driver. Do you think Direct 9 or Open GL is better ?
Noiré
I recently installed nvidias maxtreme driver, and it is totally awesome! (Especially with the quadro 4400). A giant leap from Open GL for viewport-rendering Max, it seems to me.
