Tommy L
Is there any way (in viz2005) to force a vraylight to have crisp shadows but still have a large origin? Like a direct light? Many thanks, Tom.

Victor Erthal
What you could do is fake the shadow. Add your v-ray light and exclude the objects of it but chek the shadow casting (so that the objects will be iluminated but wont cast shadows. After that, add a direct light with a multiplier of -1 an not casting shadows in the same place and orientation of the v-ray light. clone this direct light (leaving it on the same place), change its multiplier to 1 and set it to cast vray shadows. Hope it works for you.
ihabkal
worked no problems in my test...
siliconbauhaus
I thought adjusting the shadow subdivs sharpens/blurs the shadow? In real life a shadow from the sun is ony sharp where it starts and then gets more and more blurred the longer it gets.
