Iain Denby
Oh, no, now what! Every piece of geometry I create, it's in grey (even though the 'use random colours' is still checked). What has happened, and how do I fix this ?
abicalho
In VIZ everything is "By Layer", even the object color. Turn off By Layer properties in Preferences and everything shall be random again. Random is sooo good
Iain Denby
Thank you, that's done it! It's weird though, because I hadn't touched that option, and it was OK earlier.

abicalho
It's weird though, because I hadn't touched that option, and it was OK earlier. It's not weird. VIZ is that way by default. It has always been that way. It's different than MAX, though. BUT, starting with MAX 6 you can convert MAX into "VIZ-like" defaults by choosing "Design.VIZ" as the Custom Default for MAX.
