jonpdrew
Hi Everyone, Is there anyone out there that creates solid models in AuotCAD (2000i), renders them in AutoCAD and is able to use the sol prof command on the rendered image? If so is it then possible to take that image, export it as a dxf file and import that into Adobe Illustrator? I do all my design work in CAD and then import the black and white view defined file into illustrator and create the finished art work there by adding shading, lineweights, etc. I'm trying to streamline varoius ongoing patent illustrations and if I could bring a rendered image into Illustrator that would save a ton of time. Does anyone have any experience with this?...anyone?...Bueller?...Bueller?...Bueller? Jon
bokkins
hi john, when i started 3d years back. I used autocad, yes you can render pretty good images from there. The thing is, you will not see it while rendering because it is saved as a jpeg file, there is no rendering interface for better quality, only for draft quality. I remember, I made a robot and put lights and the product was also good. why dont you try it, here is a sample i did , you can start from here. goodluck!
