Scott Thomsen
Does anyone know if Viz 2005 can create object based QTVR files? We are trying to create files where the viewer can spin a fully rendered model home viewing the outside only. If Viz is not capable of doing this directly, does anyone know of a plugin that would be able to help us. Thanks.
Crazy Homeless Guy
Does anyone know if Viz 2005 can create object based QTVR files? We are trying to create files where the viewer can spin a fully rendered model home viewing the outside only. Thanks. it is is easy enough to create a camera rig to render out the stills for an object based QTVR, but you would still need a seperate app to assemble the image into a QTVR file. create a camera, that is in perspective, but looks directly ahead (it looks at 0,0,0), perpendicular to the view plain. that camera up 9 degrees. do that 11 times or so (really just depends onhow smoth you want to make it). then select all of those cameras, and rotate 20 degrees, and repeat, until you complete a circle. render the views, making sure they are named in a way that makes sense. this is essentially how a object vr tripod works if you have ever used one of those. below is a picture of what your rig should look like. Scott Thomsen
Thanks guys! Both suggestions are appliciable but I'm thinking the plug-in by Cebas is exactly what we're looking for.
Bret Bullough
but you would still need a seperate app to assemble the image into a QTVR file. Can you explain this part more. Is there free software to help assemble into a QTVR? Any examples or tutorials you could mention? I've been looking for something like this as well.
