TheAllusionisst
I am volunteering time to help organize digital architectural visualization material for the 'Seattle Architecture Foundation Model Exhibit' and if I can generate some participation, will organize a slide show and looped animations of work located in the northwest for non-contestants. Your work would receive exposure and your name/company name would be included in the digital media. The annual event has its roots in traditional model making, but has evolved with the times, it now includes digital models and animations. In an effort to increase content we have been discussing additional material, if it ties into the Pacific northwest. The exhibit space in the past has had 3 to 4 monitors or screens set up in the space with slide shows and looped animations playing continuously during the event. Outside material would be set up as either slideshows with company info/logo with the images and looped animations with company info/logo at the beginning. The event brings in and is sponsored by architectural firms and architectural schools from the area as well as the public. I thought some people might be interested in having their work displayed to a concentrated group of professionals that may be interested in their professional services. I am inviting any individuals with work located in the pacific northwest (United States) to contact me - REMOVED - to discuss displaying your work at the exhibit as a non-participant of the official contest/exhibit. "The 2004 Ideas in Form 7 exhibition attracted over 1000 visitors from local and national design firms and other community organizations. In 2005 national and international audiences are looking to the Northwest region for examples of innovation, progress and new thinking in built design. The Ideas in Form 8 exhibition is an opportunity for the architecture community to exchange ideas and showcase developments while touching a larger community. This annual, non-competitive forum for ideas and process engages the public in the universal conversation and debate about design through a cross-section of current work in the Northwest. Special attention will be given to projects that have incorporated community involvement at various levels." There will be no fee involved for non-participants and the artist would maintain all rights to their work, it is just a way to recieve exposure and help this worthy non-profit organization put on a successful function. I will make further plans as I recieve feedback, at this time the displays will either be displayed on big computer monitors or I will learn to burn playable DVD's and we will set up TV's in alcoves in the exhibit space. Why do I volunteer for these type of things Thank you for your time. http://www.seattlearchitecture.org/exhibits.cfm
