Roof shingles in perspective

I am doing a straight on elevation of a residence and using a pattern fill for the roof shingles and it tiles just fine. But, all tiles are exactly the same width/height as if on a perfectly vertical plane. I have tried the perspective skew tool etc but cannot get the tiles to show perspective. How can you get the shingles to recede to a slightly lesser vertical dimension to express perspective.

I haven't played with the vanishing point stuff is cs yet, but a quick comment since you said you are using the pattern fill. If you are doing it as a layer effect, once you make the pattern and tile it with the overlay... you have to raster the layer in order to be able to transform it as mentioned above....

Thanks Juan and Brian

That was very helpful!

We have CS1. Is CS2 upgrading real well for everyone? We do not have much in CS1 for CS2 to argue with so I would hope that it would be a smooth install. Is everyone happy with the BRIDGE thing?
