rcase
Greetings, I'm sure this is a pretty simple fix, yet I can't figure it out. Recently when creating box objects in Max 7, I get a diagonal line splitting the face (red square). I'm completely lost on how to get it back to normal (Blue square). Please help. Thanks. Poco
Hi, Have you tried: Customize -> Preferences -> Viewports -> Configure Driver -> uncheck "use triangle strips" Hope this helps
rcase
No luck. I made your suggested fix and and nothing changed. One day it was working fine and the next it changed. I don't know if I opened a file that changed it or what. I has to be something simple, I didn't go in and change any settings. Thanks for the suggestion though. abicalho
What video driver are you using? This will happen in Direct3D, since that's the way it works. Also, check the object properties to see if "Edges Only" is enabled or not.
rcase
Thanks, that fixed it. I was using Direct 3D. I changed it to OpenGL and it's fixed. What is the diference between Direct 3D and OpenGL? Thanks.
amarkovi
i'm using direct 3d, (openGL is just too slow i can't work in max at all) and i managed to get rid of the diagonal lines: go to customize>viewports>configure driver and uncheck the first slot on top "display all triangle edges".....it works
