map saturation

Everytime I add a bitmap in the material editor; it's always over saturated when I render it out. It does it for solid colors also. They never look like the original. You can tell me to change the RGB level in the output rollout, but It drives me crazy that you would have to do that. I had no problem in Viz 4. I now use 2005.

 

Is there something I'm not doing? Is it because I'm using mr area omni lights?
