carlangas
Hi all, When you set up a scene you have default lighting (if thats what its called), the moment you add a light the viewport changes to reflect the lights in your scene. how can I change that so that I can allways see everything in the scene when shaded regardless of the lights I add? I am using radiosity in my scene and when i shade the viewport it some parts look tool dark and cant see all objects. thanks
Victor Erthal
you can use "ctrl + L" and quickly change from one to another
Sawyer
Go to the environment window and change the level spinner (default 1) this will change the brightness of the shaded viewport. Does that make sense?

carlangas
ohh, I didnt see your post Sawyer. does this affect the rendered image as well??
kaylmyers
Sorry to disagree, Sawyer. That will increase the ambient light in the scene and as we say in our office: ALVB!!! (ambient light very bad) It'll flatten out the render. Ctrl L is the way to do it. ( or right click on the vewport name, choose configure viewports, then check default lighting. Choose between 1 or 2 lights)
Sawyer
Carlos, I was wrong. I use vray and it does not affect anything in the rendering. CTRL +L is the way to go.
