jrocc858
Hello all. I will be adding some addidtional ram and a new video card to my Dell Dimension 8300 p4 2.8ghz 533 fsb. I wil be adding a gig of ram to the existing 512, thats the easy part. The confusing decision is what video card to go with. Is it worth goin with a newer consumer card, the geforce 6600gt or an older professional card, the quadro. Are the advances in the consumer market helpful in dcc or would i be better sticking with the Quadro and its open gl performace? In additon would it be worth the extra money to jump from the 500 to the 1000 if I go with quadro? Almost forgot I have an AGP slot no PCI/PCI-E.
