bully712
I recieved a Max 7 file from a client. Since Viz only goes up to version 6, is it possible to open a max 7 file, or do I need them to send a .3ds file? Thanks
Ray
Max 7 and Viz 2006 are compatible. Although you may get error messages if they used any max features that aren't supported in viz.
Jennifer
Hi, You can ignore any 'parameter collector' errors, the file should still load. Another option is to use the excellent Alias Filmbox FBX format, with the free plugin for most programs. It supports material and animation features. http://www.alias.com/glb/eng/products-services/product_details.jsp?productId=1900004 For any file that won't load properly, try a File->Merge rather than opening it. It should skip any features it doesn't like. Have fun!
