I am trying to create colour bleed through the purple and blue objects in the scene, can anyone help with this? That's when light passes through or reflects off something, hits something else, you see it refracted, yadda yadda yadda... Take a look at the tutorials that come with Max - there is good stuff on using mental ray and caustics, wouldn't hurt to read up on use of the mental ray material either.
