exporting from Chief Architect 10 to 3ds Max

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I want to buy Chief Architect 10. two things actually stops me of buying it, one is the price and the other one is the ability of Chief Architect 10 to export decent geometry to Max (because I’ll do the visualation there).

I guess you cant help me with the first problem but you might help me with the other since the demo doesn’t allow exporting geometry I really scared that I’ll spend hours of cleaning mesh in Max.

Please any input about exporting decent geometry to Max,

Thanks

S

I do not use Chief Architect, but I did receive a model as a test for me to render and I believe you have legitimate concerns since the model received had ALOT of extra geometry where every edge of the sheets of plywood and structural members were located.

I believe it might lead to alot of light/shadow leaks when rendering. I went through the rather painstaking process of rebuilding everything for the project since I did not want to deal with issues during rendering.

Good luck,

ooo…boy…

my fear comes true….

Chief Architect has a great support and development medium. I hardly accept they didn’t think about transferring decent data to CAD applications.

Please tell me the bright side of it…

Thanks
