ant_sutton
Hi guys. I have decided to try a living room interior with emphasis on practising the lighting but also the texturing.(using lightwave 8) The room design is by Jason Lee but I have attempted the lighting (with some of jasons setings), modelling and texturing myself. I do not have the skills to understand where my light has gone wrong in p-laces and why it has happened. I have tried for hours to fix hot spots and such but nothing seems to work. Please could you take a look at my latest render and light setup and comment and make suggestions on how to improve my lighting in particular but feel free to help improve my textures too (I havent really applied any complex textures yet, just enought to get a feel for the scene). Area light outside window: 30% intensity inverse distance falloff 3m Large ceiling light: 42% falloff - off shadows - off small back light: 19.5 % falloff - off shadows - off Also spotlight shining through large window to act as sun: 80% intensity inverse distance falloff 3m global settings: ambient intensity - 0% Radiosity - 150% Interpolated - 4x12 rays 1 bounce 0.7 tolerance 5mm minimum spacing Thanks for reading lsals
