Sketchrender
Hi I have inherited a model, and now have to make changes to it. Can someone please tell me, I now need to insert new window opening in the faces, refer to attached image. Is this possible as I thinK most of the modeling was done in autocad, and imported to max, were now it has to be updated with in max if possible. Thank you in advance. phil

For sure "save as" (max .chrm) file will work. Then reopen, convert to editable poly and use either boolean or poly modelling to remove the faces for your windows. Hope this helps (and is entirely correct ) Peace
radioVOY
just select your object and convert to poly, quickslice and draw the new window, then select faces and delete the faces for the window, select the edges from your deleted face and extrude. hope thats works. ihabkal
use booleans, and if the models is not clean it will not take out the square where the window will be, but it will make edges within the wall, which you can delete with an edit mesh modifier and selecting that rectangle and pressing delete.
