Paul Griger
Seeing as Elsa has seemingly discontinued the New Synergy 4 Quadro 4 , I am looking for a video card for my new dual AMD system. I see Jeff is getting the GEFORCE4 TI4600. It has the same clock speed as the ELSA GLoria4 Quadro4 900XGL with 128-MB DDR-SDRAM, Lightspeed Memory Architecture™, Dual-RAMDAC with 350 MHz. What is everyone else here running with? What would you purchase if you could put out about $400 US dollars or less?
CHE
I would go for a Elsa Quadro III (quadro 2 Pro). check them out at www.ebay.com Good luck.
anduril
Well you might want to wait on getting a Pro level card for a bit since PNY was given charge of producing the professional cards with ELSAs demise in that area. In most 3D graphics programs your not really gonna notice a huge difference between the GeForce 4 and the Quadro...though in a CAD program I think you would because of the enabled features. If your really dying to get something now then I'd say either try and find a good dealer on EBay or else buy the cheapest TI4600 card you can get. Otherwise...I'd wait
