nvidia gforce 4000... i think i ve got a problem

Well i have a problem with my nvidia gforce 4000, the resolution of the images is not good enough, basically i see a good level in renders but, the videos of the games and animations looks very poor (the edges of the images look with a poor definition), i know the card is a AGP 8x , and i am working with a resolution of 1024x768 with 32 bit colors, my machine is a AMD athlon 64 3000 and my monitor is a viewsonic 70f, please someone can help me?? is this a good video card??.
