cdos00
Here are two screenshots from a model I recently imported/linked from AutoCAD 2005. I would like to get nice smooth arcs, however when I set the arc steps higher I don't see a change in quality in the geometry. (by the way, they are solids) I have tried setting the smooth angle higher but as I get close to 90 the obvious happens (everything turns to "blow up" furniture). Can anyone help me with this problem? I have looked through the forums and can't seem to find the answer to my problems. I read the "barstool" thread a while back and the suggestions didn't seem to change anything in my model. Is it better to maybe export the objects to .3ds files? maybe change the objects to editable meshes in MAX and apply some modifiers? Any help is much appreciated! cdos00
kicks, one sentence "you, are the man..er woman, depending on your gender" I set it to 0.001 as instructed and it crashed my machine, but I got the drift. I ended up setting it to 0.1 and it looks beautiful! Thank you so much! I swear I will post WIP's soon, however, I am a noob to 3d viz and don't think I should be wasting your time with my crappy work just yet. Let me practice up a little bit. I am reading Ted Boardman's book and it is great, but I am only just beginning. Thanks again! (I owe you a beer.) Chris.
