carloscristerna
Hi all, I have been trying to use Hi-res HDRI files in Viz 2005, when I use a small file it works, but when I use a big one like 4000x2000 pixels 32bit there is a fatal error, if I modify that same map to be a smaller map like 500x250 then it woks....is it posible to use hi-res HDRI maps in viz2005???....any ideas? thanks!! Tommy L
If your using the HDRI to light the scene, dont worry about it. How accurate do you need the lighting? If Im guessing right, you can probably use a small HDRI and then use the big image as a reflection map for any shiny stuff (your light sources will match your reflections). Just make sure the two maps are aligned correctly to each other and the result will be just fine. You can even blur the HDRI used for lighting and it will reduce the RAM usage further (I think). Good luck, Tom.
