shop interiors for an external shot

Hi guys,

I have to produce a render of a proposed streetscape that will include some shop/retail windows. The client wants me to add life to the shop windows and restraunts....(representing their eventual purpose) what is the best way of doing this. I really dont want to have to model the shop internals and I find that using a photograph of a similiar type shop behind the glass is difficult to match in perspective...

Are there sites where I can purchase models of pics - or is there another way of doing this. The types of retail windows needed include: pharmacy, coffee shop, dry cleaners, beauty salon, fruit and veg...

not really advisable. i'll only use shop images if i'm desparate and have zero time. as you can see from these past examples i've done they look fine at a quick glance, but you certainly wouldn't want to present them to a client if you can avoid it. i always get comments and questions about them when i use them. it'll be rare the perspectives will match, and they'll always lack depth.

(the internal shop pics were found via google images)

it really is worth the extra time modelling in a basic shop interior. even if it means doing basic furbishings, adding a few peeps, and putting in some fancy coloured lighting to give it some interest. also add extra reflection to the glass and make it more opaque so you cant really see the detail. a little time and effort can produce nice results. much more acceptable than bitmapping the interiors.
