HP Designjet 130...

Hey, neighbor!

I was thinking about the same printer. I currently use a 500 model plotter at the office - love the quality - but I need something in my home office now.

I'm with you - Anyone with experiences?

Hey Allen, it sounds like a good printer from the adv. blurbs...but doesn't everything. I've always used Epson in the past. Let me know if you're ever out this way...I'll buy you an adult beverage.

Sawyer, I'm probably a few weeks away from a purchase yet...I'll keep an eye out for your impressions.

Thanks

Well I just finished a bowl of Frito pie (ok I am from NM and thats the only place I have ever seen this. Anyone else familiar with it? we used to have it for school lunches its basically texas style chilie smothering a handful for Fritos, shredded cheese ontop and a bit od diced onions. To die for really although it is on the nastier side of health foods) anyway I finally installed the plotter & I got a great print first try. Really nice colors and relativly quite as far as plotters go. It was a bit bigger than I had anticipated so I had to wait until I got the right table. I printed one of my illustrations & I feel good about how it looks I rarely see final image printed so its nice. Speed is really good.

But this is only 5 minutes into having it working. The only problem I had was that I could not get the parallel port connection to work and I had to use the USB and thats no biggie.

I lived in Texas for a while and we had Frito pie, they made a good one at a place called Jason's - they also had a baked potato that was more than twice the size of any potato I'd ever seen (I guess it was "Texas size") with chili and cheese that was one of the best things about Houston, though you could only eat it once a month without having a heart attack.

Mmmmm... Frito pie... now I'm hungry.

Printer sounds good too.
