Vray water

hi all,

 

im trying to do a scene with water using a polyline imported from acad, well the water renders black, I did asign a uvw modifier. other polylines with a different material render ok, they're all vray mats. what im i doing wrong??? :confused:

I believe that the problem this in in the material that you have created, for that reason I give the parameters you to create a good water material in VRay, his you have first planes of this water, and in addition, great water surface in the scene, this material will slow down render, but the result is spectacular, you I promise it. In the bump map, you must consider the scale, (is very important) if it is a swimming pool for example, the waves will be smaller, therefore the smallest relief also, in my case was a venecian scene of about 30 meters in length by about 8 meters wide, I always I paint east type of bump map in Photoshop.

 

Another very important thing that you must consider, is the parameter "Fog Multiplier" depending on the amount of light that you have in the scene and of the thickness of the object that is the water, you will have to give a greater or smaller value him. This water is prepared so that underneath her it finds a texture, in the case of a swimming pool, for example floor tiles, in my case which I put underneath were stones, because she was a venecian escene, but this material works very well putting underneath the texture that supposedly had to go in each case, or a river, a swimming pool...
