Every review I've read comes to the same conclusions: AMD dual-core is much, much better than Intel dual-core. The performance exceptions are few, but Intel does have an advantage for a few apps, so you need to evaluate based upon your own needs. Intel is a lot cheaper, too (it has to be to be competitive!-who woulda thought it would come to this?), but for me, AMD is the only choice until Intel releases dual-cores bases upon the Pentium M, then we'll see. I'm a bit of an AMD fanboy, because if not for them, we'd still be at 933MHz P3 for $1200. Intel's done so many things badly (P3 1.13GHz, Camino chipset, graphics chips, etc.), and their advertising is SUCH a bunch of lies (netburst, fastest CPU -they're almost as bad as Apple), that I'm very much enjoying AMD kicking them in the teeth for the next 6+ months :D

I have been an AMD fan since their MP2200+ cpus. cheap, fast, needs good cooling though. the new processors are cooler than intel's though, and faster. seems AMD fixed the problems and introduced technologies that would make intel jealous...
